You can make a difference. Dangerous wildfires are burning on the Big Island and Maui in Hawaii, and The Red Cross is there providing shelter, comfort, and relief for the residents reeling from the impact.

The American Red Cross is on the ground in Hawaii, working around the clock to help those affected by this climate-driven disaster. In partnership with the County government, trained Red Cross disaster workers have 7 shelters open on Maui and Oahu, and have provided more than 3,300 overnight shelter stays. In addition to providing evacuees with a safe place to stay, The Red Cross and partners are providing food to eat and emotional support during this challenging time. Over 1,300 local residents have also begun their Red Cross volunteer training to help their community.

About The Red Cross:
Each day, thousands of people – people just like you – provide compassionate care to those in need. The Red Cross network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world. They roll up their sleeves and donate time, money and blood. They learn or teach life-saving skills so our communities can be better prepared when the need arises. They do this every day because the Red Cross is needed - every day.
